STEINER WSB TEAMS Victorious in 2006
The "Steiner CMBO Northwood Night Jars", captained by Jason
Guerard, won first place in Division One, Cape Island area with 138
species identified. The Youth Team, "The Steiner Merlins",
captained by Kelly Jewel, won Division "A", (grades 1st -
5th) with 111 species in the Cape Island Area.
According to the two team captains, "A great time was had by all
in spite of the dismal weather for the 24 hour event, and everyone
came home with exciting stories of sighting many migrating birds that
Cape May is famous for in the spring and Fall migrations, and our
binoculars worked great", they said.
